WDS Bridge Mode Setting (Details)

Description: The QIG will set up a PTP (Point-to-Point) wireless bridge which will acting like you have one cable from one end to the other, You may retrieve the DHCP from the other end.

Step 1. Connect all the devices as the following diagram. IP addresses and MAC addresses are given to provide an example.

Step 2. In your web browser, type 192.168.1.1 (Engenius 1) in the address bar

Then click Operation Mode→WDS (Bridge)Save & Apply

 


Step 3. Click WDS Link SettingsSecurity select AESType in AES PassphraseType in Each

WDS bridge MAC Address (Engenius2's MAC address in the example)  Accept

 

Step4. Click Spanning Tree Settings → Select On → Click Accept


Step 5. Click Save/ReloadSave&Apply
Step 6. Connect the computer to the switch and set its IP address to 192.168.1.3.


How to change the IP address of the second Engenius device
1. Login with default IP (192.168.1.1) and username/password (admin/admin)
2. Go to IP Settings Change its IP to 192.168.1.2
3. Click Accept

4. Click Save/Reload


 

5. Click Save&Apply


Step 7. In your web browser, type 192.168.1.2 (Engenius 2) in the address bar

 Then click Operation ModeWDS (Bridge) Save & Apply


 

 Step 8. Click WDS Link SettingsSecurity select AESType in AES Passphrase  Type in Each

WDS bridge MAC Address (Engenius1's MAC address in the example)  Accept

 

Step9. Click Spanning Tree Settings → Select "On" → Click "Accept"


Connect all the devices like the diagram given in step1 and check if LED is on.
